Twice I've been screwed over.

first time, 3 of my teammates got 10 wins. I got 9 wins. Our monk leaves on their 10th win. We then get a massive cycle of, "No opposing party". Since we were technically waiting for a TA replacement. One of my teammates gets impatients and leaves, then we finally get 2 TA replacements and off to our next match against a dual monk team which we lose.

other time, our Mesmer leaves on our 7th win. We then get a cycle of "No opposing party". aww crap, it seems our lone Mesmer had 10 wins and the three of us only have 7 wins. A teammate gets impatient and leaves, then we get 2 TA replacements and are placed in the TA. Despite the fact that we only had 7 wins in a row and were not technically eligilbe to enter the TA. Then we lose...

It's kinda annoying now that people are only here to farm gladiator points. No more glory in going for the biggest. win streak. ever. perhaps they should add something like, after 20th win in a row, you get 2 glad points instead of 1, 30th win, you get 3.

then again, it irks me that all my 300,000 faction that I've earned almost exclusively through RA battles I did for fun were meaningless for my Glad points.

Yeah i agree with the 20 for 2 points etc
and yes i have been swindled cos team were on 11 wins and i was on 9... we were against a 2 monk team and team got impatient and left.......

Getting screwed out of Glad points happens to me all the time in RA. Most memorably when we had a Leeroy on the "most deaths" map after the 9th win.

Also happens all the time when people leave at the end of the round and that bugs the timer and gets the whole winning party stuck in limbo forever.

I've never been on an RA that was capable of winning up to 20 once we get transferred to TA so I don't think that would be happening very often. Might be a good idea to put that 20 wins bonus incentive in there although I'm guessing it would usually only be really skilled TA teams who get it.

I think to compensate for all the crap involved with earning Glad points, they should stop transferring random teams to fight vs. arranged teams after 10 wins. The random team doesn't stand much of a chance. Which is probably why most people quit after 10 RA wins, because logically, doing so is a major time saver if you want Glad points.

yup yup... had this happen so many times in TA (and sometimes RA) it's not even funny anymore. I'm sure i'd have had my gladiator title by now if that #@&&#@% mesmer would run toward the monk instead of away.

edit: i've had at least 15 or so streaks that ended at 9. pisses me off too.

One time I got placed in the TA after 5 consecutive wins.

I'm not sure I like the whole 'transfer to TA' thing, a random team just doesnt stand a chance over there. Not even a good random team.

Really good ones can pwn in TAs. Those 2-monk TA teams can have some major vulnerabilities.

what really erks me is that about 3 months back i got a winning streak of 36 from a random arena group. There should be some kind of title for that kind of winning streak because if i got that again now it wouldn't mean a thing

Saying that highest afterwards has been 15 consecutives then I er7'd grrrrr.

that said getting a good RA winning streak/team at all is very rare as most i've been in don't have a monk... and if they do its because i'm the monk :S

I'm afraid i have no screenie to prove it though so please no flames for screenie etc etc etc.

Just start from team arenas and play with people you know are good and wont quit. And to everyone who said that randoms groups dont stand a chance in TA, I've made 20+ wins from randoms several times.

To answer the title question, No. I have gotten my whole 2 gladiator points in RA with another monk. Once though, we got to ten wins and to TA where 3 of us had gotten a point, but the ranger in our group only had 9 wins. go figure, the next match we got pwnt.

lol. I joined a team that had 9 wins and the monk left, I was smitting, they kept on yelling at me to leave... -_- It was on the most kills map so I decided to leeroy myself to death. Some times if u are a dick in these RA maps you deserve getting your point stollen from you.

Gladiator points kinda p*ss me off. I dont understand why they arnt retroactive like fame? They are both for PvP.... Also I agree with the 2 points for 20 consec wins and 3 points for 30 consec wins. Fame works like that so why not do a similar thing for something else that measures your PvP "skill."

The reason is because the game didn't keep track of your wins in the arenas before the titles were created. There was no reason to, because ANet didn't know they would have titles about them a year later.

about the 2 points at 20.. it does work like that- every 10 wins you get a point- I've been on close to a 30 win streak when factions came out grinding for that title
